Women's Rowing Finishes Fourth at Patriot League Championships

CAMDEN, N.J. (Cooper River) – The Bison second varsity eight earned a silver medal, the varsity four finished fourth and the varsity eight placed sixth, as the Bucknell women's rowing team finished fourth at the Patriot League Championships on Friday. Navy won the team title for the fourth time in the last five years despite finishing runner-up to Boston U. in the varsity eight.
All three Bison boats advanced to their grand finals thanks to strong performances in their heats earlier in the morning. The second varsity eight won its heat, while the varsity four boat posted a runner-up finish and the varsity eight placed third.
Navy won the title for the third straight year with 51 points and Boston U. finished second with 46. Georgetown was third with 36, with Bucknell (34) and MIT (33) rounding out the top five teams. The Midshipmen will represent the Patriot League at the NCAA Rowing Championships May 26-28 in West Windsor, New Jersey.
