Women's Tennis Celebrates Senior Day, Falls to Army West Point

LEWISBURG, Pa.. – Lisa Jouravleva improved to 9-1 overall and 4-1 against Patriot League opponents in Bucknell's 6-1 loss to Army West Point in a conference women's tennis match Saturday at the Varsity Courts.
The Bison celebrated Senior Day, honoring its two seniors – Melissa Parks and Michele Urbinati – prior to the match.
Jouravleva won easy on court one, defeating Melanie Allen 7-5, 6-2. The Bison junior is now 4-1 while playing on court one. Allen, who has played in the top spot all spring for the Black Knights, dropped to 9-7 overall and 3-2 against league opponents.
Bucknell, which is at .500 with a record of 10-10, concludes the regular season with a home match against IUP on Tuesday. The Crimson Hawks are ranked 35th in Division II.
Army West Point improved to 19-6 overall and remained unbeaten against league opponents at 7-0.
