Women's Tennis Closes Season with Quarterfinal Loss to Navy

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell women's tennis season came to a close Friday with a 4-0 loss to third-seeded Navy in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament at Lehigh's Ulrich Courts.

The Bison, which were the sixth-seeded team in the conference tournament, finished the season 10-11 overall. They have won double-digit matches in back-to-back seasons.

Navy improved to 19-11 and advances to the semifinal round. The Mids will take on second-seeded Boston University on Saturday. The Terriers won 4-0 in their quarterfinal match against seventh-seeded Loyola.

Claudia Mackenzie, Emily Louie Meadors, and Kaylah Hodge all had singles wins for Navy.

The singles match on court one – which could have had Patriot League Player of the Year implications – went unfinished between Bucknell's Lisa Jouravleva and Navy's Amanda Keller. Jouravleva won in three sets when the two played earlier this season

Bucknell lost the doubles point, but had a chance to win the unfinished match on court two. Lauren Fishbein and Emilie Bush were tied 4-4 when play was halted.
