LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's lacrosse team participated in the 9/11 Heroes Run this past Saturday. The event was organized and run by the Bucknell wrestling program and the Travis Manion Foundation to unite communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11th and the wars since.
The Bison lacrosse team had six individuals win medals for finishing at the top of the 5K race. Those medal winners were Hunter Newman, Nader Sharif-Emami, Christian Klipstein, Grayson Helm, Ryan Parsons and Jack Gelinas.
The lacrosse team ran in the event to support the cause and to honor Gelinas's father, Peter, who passed away during the events of 9/11.
The men's lacrosse program wishes to thank the Travis Manion Foundation and Bucknell Wrestling for the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful event.
