LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell women's soccer goalkeeper Jessica Ratner has been named Bison Athlete of the Week, following a record-setting performance at Wright State Sunday at Alumni Field.
Ratner, a Preseason All-Patriot League selection, helped the Bison capture their second shutout of the year with a 2-0 road victory against the Raiders. Bucknell put together a fantastic performance after having its game at Dayton Friday cancelled due to lightening.
The shutout was No. 16 for Ratner, becoming the program's all-time leader, passing Kathryn Sutton '09 (15). Since becoming a full-time starter in 2015, Ratner has posted 13 shutouts in 23 games, which leads the Patriot League.
The Bison are off to a hot start in 2016, sitting at 3-0 for the first time in 2003.
Bucknell will look to remain unbeaten Thursday (Sept. 1) with a trip to ACC school Syracuse. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
