LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell sophomore Lindsay Dodovich, who earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors with a T-9th finish at the league championship tournament last month, picked up another honor on Friday when she was one of five women's golf student-athletes named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
Dodovich is a political science major with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average. She has been a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and was also one of the league's most improved players in 2015-16. She chopped more than four strokes off her scoring average from her freshman to her sophomore year and led the Bison with a 79.8 average this season.
That includes her terrific final-round 73 at the Patriot League Championship, which moved her into the top-10 and into All-Patriot League consideration for the first time. Dodovich's low competitive round of the year came in the season-opener back in the fall, when she posted a 2-under-par 70 in the first round of the William & Mary Invitational at the Kingsmill Resort. That mark was one stroke shy of the Bucknell school record.
Dodovich placed T-18th at William & Mary, the first of her four top-20 finishes on the season.
The Bucknell women's golf team placed fourth at the 2016 Patriot League Championship.
