LEWISBURG, Pa. – Tyler Craig was named the winner of the Edward W. Pangburn Award at Bucknell's annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet on Sunday night.
The Edward W. Pangburn Award is presented to senior athletes for sportsmanship, fellowship and contribution to the University. Craig was a leader in every sense of the word while leading the Bucknell women's basketball team to a share of the 2016 Patriot League regular season title. She fought through numerous injuries and took on multiple roles while guiding a young Bison team to school records in overall wins with 25 and league wins with 17.
A team co-captain, Craig often took on the toughest defensive assignment, while also managing to finish second on the team with 86 assists. She put the finishing touches on an outstanding career by scoring 11 points in Bucknell's 74-70 win over Akron in the first round of the WNIT, the program's first ever win in a national postseason tournament.
