ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Bison women's golf team posted a 329 team score Sunday and moved up one spot to a third-place finish in a four-team gathering at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course. Lindsay Dodovich led Bucknell in the final round with an 81, while Katie Childers was the team's low player for 36 holes at 162.
Childers tied for fourth place on the individual leaderboard after rounds of 80-82 in chilly conditions this week in Annapolis. Dodovich started with an 82 before finishing with an 81, putting her one shot behind Childers for the weekend and in a tie for eighth place.
Emily Larson and Jen Lee both closed with 83s, and Eunbbie Kim posted a 91.
Georgetown held off Lehigh by one stroke for the team title. The Hoyas and Mountain Hawks entered the final round tied for the lead, and Georgetown shot 322 to Lehigh's 323 on Sunday. The Hoyas' Christine Schmitt finished with a 75 to claim medalist honors by four shots over Navy's Christine Walker.
Bucknell started the day two shots behind Navy, but the Mids closed with a 336. The Bison totaled 661 over 36 holes, five better than Navy.
Bucknell will now prepare for the 2016 Patriot League Championship, which it will be hosting Apr. 23-24 at the Bucknell Golf Club.
