LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's golf team returns to Boulder Creek Golf Club near Las Vegas on Monday and Tuesday, hosting a 54-hole tournament featuring a quality 10-team field that includes 23rd-ranked UNLV as well as a pair of Patriot League cohorts in Boston University and Holy Cross.
Coach Kevin Jamieson and his squad began the 2016 spring season by hosting an event at Boulder Creek back on Feb. 15 and 16. The Bison finished eighth in that event with a 54-hole score of 979 (332-328-319). Northern Arizona won it with a 908 total.
When the Bison played there three weeks ago, they did so without the services of sophomore Lindsay Dodovich, who led the team with a 79.5 scoring average in the fall. Dodovich will be back in the lineup this week, joining Emily Larson, Jen Lee, Katie Childers and Eunbbie Kim.
Larson was Bucknell's top finisher at Boulder Creek last time around, finishing T-22nd with rounds of 83-76-79.
The Bison will be paired with UNLV and Northern Colorado for the first rwo rounds on Monday. The Rebels hosted a tournament at Boulder Creek back in October and shot 33-under par as a team to tie for first place with Vanderbilt.
Bucknell will be going up against league rivals Boston University and Holy Cross for the first time this spring. The Terriers won the Patriot League title last year after the Bison won it in 2014.
Rounding out the field are North Dakota, Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Saint Francis (Pa.), Presbyterian and Southern New Hampshire.
