Women's Golf in Middle of Pack at Low Country Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Led by a 4-over-par 76 from sophomore Lindsay Dodovich and a 78 from freshman Katie Childers, the Bucknell women's golf team opened with a round of 320 on Saturday and is tied for 10th in a field of 18 teams at the Low Country Intercollegiate at Moss Creek GC.
Dodovich made three birdies in her round and posted a 1-over 37 on the back nine. Childers also had a birdie at the par-3 17th hole after parring seven of the nine holes on the front nine. She was 2-over through 11 holes.
Freshman Eunbbie Kim followed with an 82, while Jen Lee shot 84 and Emily Larson 85. The Bison were left lamenting the 13th hole, where they were a combined 6-over as a team.
Chattanooga opened with a 302 team total and leads the tournament by two shots over Bethune-Cookman, three over Appalachian State and four over Gardner-Webb. Bucknell is tied for 10th with SCAD-Savannah, ahead of Longwood, Presbyterian, Wofford, Navy, High Point, USC Upstate and The Citadel.
Alex Liu of William & Mary posted a tournament first-round record 72. She leads Chattanooga's Christina Perez and Appalachian State's Joliana Elias by one shot. Dodovich is tied for 11th.
