Bison Women in Fourth Place After Opening Day of PL Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell women's swimming and diving team sits in fourth place following two events on the opening night of the Patriot League Championships at Lejeune Hall. The Bison are in a three-way tie for fourth with Colgate and Lehigh, trailing Army West Point, Boston University and Navy.
In the 200 free relay, Emma Levendoski, Diana Hanson, Julianna Foss and Abigail Rosenberg placed fourth overall, touching the wall in 1:43.08 to earn 30 team points.
Hanson, Brittany Bishop, Rachel McGoff and Caroline Orem swam in the 800 free relay and finished sixth in the race. However, their time of 7:29.35 put them third in school annals in the event, shaving off a second from the previous No. 3 mark.
The Patriot League Championships will continue Thursday with prelims at 10:30 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. The 500 free, 200 IM and 50 free are the individual swimming events that will be contested, while women's one-meter diving will also take place.
