Headlines
• Bucknell is 2-0 for the first time since 2008-09 after winning a pair of road games to start the season. The Bison opened with a 67-57 win at Binghamton and then added a 64-61 win at Saint Joseph's two days later.
• The Bison erased a 15-point deficit in the win over the Hawks, fueled by a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds by senior Sune Swart. She scored the team's first eight points.
• Swart, who had just one career start entering this season, has emerged as one of the best players in the league with 25 points in each of the first two games. She is the first Bison player to score at least 25 points in back-to-back games since 2010 and the first to do it in the first two games of the season since Molly Creamer scored 26 against Albany and 27 against Pittsburgh in 2001.
• Bucknell's starting lineup includes three seniors that will give teams matchup problems all season. Sophomore Kaitlyn Slagus averaged a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds through the first two games, while senior Claire DeBoer averaged 8.5 points and is the Preseason Patriot League Player of the Year.
• Sophomore Kyi English had scored just three points through the first six quarters of the season, but broke out with 10 points in the second half of the win at Saint Joseph's.
• A pair of players with starting experience came off the bench to contribute some important plays and stats against Saint Joseph's. Sophomore Kate Walker had a clutch 3-pointer and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds, while junior Catherine Romaine five rebounds and two blocks in nine minutes.
• NJIT is 2-0 after an 87-53 win over St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Tuesday. The Highlanders opened the season with a 68-45 win over Wagner. Both victories were on their home court.
