LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell's Chris Devlin was named the Patriot League Swimmer of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday. The junior earned the award for the third time in his career after winning three events Sunday at Seton Hall.
Devlin has won six straight individual races, finishing first in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 IM in back-to-back meets against Boston University and Seton Hall. He has captured seven straight races in the 200 back dating back to last season, including the 2016 Patriot League Championships.
Devlin, the Swimmer of the Meet at the 2016 Patriot League Championships, has won one weekly award in each of his three seasons at Bucknell. He is the second Bison swimmer to earn the award this season, as sophomore Chadd Cummings received the honor after the first meet of the year.
The Bison will have a short week before traveling to Annapolis, Maryland, on Saturday for a quad meet against league foes Navy, American, and Lafayette. The meet is scheduled for a noon start at Lejeune Hall.
