Foss Named Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell's Julianna Foss was named the Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday. The junior earned the award for the first time in her career after recording the fastest time in three individual events Sunday at Seton Hall.
Foss took first in both butterfly events in the non-conference meet against the Pirates. The school record holder in both events, she won the 100 fly with a time of 57.87 and the 200 fly with a time of 2:08.00.
Foss, a two-time First Team All-Patriot League selection, also swam the fastest time (2:08.68) while competing as exhibition in the 200 IM. She added a runner-up finish while teaming up with Emma Hadley, Libby O'Hare, and Katherine O'Shea in the 200 medley relay.
The Bison have won two Swimmer of the Week honors and one Diver of the Week award this season. Julie Byrne won the swimming award, and Christine Kehrli won the diving award following the first meet of the season.
The Bison will have a short week before traveling to Annapolis, Maryland, on Saturday for a quad meet against league foes Navy, American, and Lafayette. The meet is scheduled for a noon start at Lejeune Hall.
