LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Academic All-American and Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year Jesse Klug was one of three Bucknell men's soccer student-athletes to earn a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the 2015 fall semester, and he led a contingent of 14 Bison on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Klug, a managing for sustainability major, was also a Senior CLASS First Team All-American in the fall. Senior Clarke Fox (political science) and junior Andrew Leischner (accounting and financial management) also earned 4.0s in the fall, and as a team the Bison combined for a stellar 3.36 GPA.
Fox and classmates Mark Kramarchuk (biology) and Patrick Figgie (mechanical engineering) were three of the eight seniors league-wide who made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the fourth straight year. Senior Chris Thorsheim (accounting and financial management), who recently signed with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer, also made the Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of their sport's competition.
