Wenzel Earns Third Patriot League Diver of the Week Award of the Season

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Tyler Wenzel has been named the Corvias Patriot League Male Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. Wenzel earns the award after solid performances in Bucknell's meets against league opponents Army West Point and Colgate.
Wenzel earned first in all four diving competitions against both Army West Point and Colgate. Against the Black Knights, the senior earned a mark of 278.17 in the one-meter then scored 265.21 in the three meter to sweep the events. The next day against the Raiders, Wenzel won the one-meter with 251.18 points and the three-meter with 277.72 points.
Wenzel has been named the league's top diver three times this season. He received the honor four times last season to give him seven for his career.
The Bison will compete in their final home event of the season when they host Columbia at Kinney Natatorium on Sunday. The team's eight seniors will be honored at the meet.
Following the home meet, Bucknell will go on the road to swim against Lehigh on Jan. 23, and will compete at the Navy Invite on Jan. 30. Those are the final events before the Patriot League Championships at Navy on Feb. 17-20.
