LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Emma Levendoski added yet another Corvias Female Patriot League Swimmer of the Week award after an unbeaten individual performance in a pair of meets this past weekend. The award is the 11th of her career and the fourth of the season.
Levendoski won all four backstroke events she competed in against Army West Point and Colgate. In addition, she also helped the Bison earn a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay against Colgate and three second-place finishes in the 200 medley relay (1:47.15 against Army), 400 free relay (3:33.53 against Army), and 400 free relay (3:38.80 against Colgate). In the team's loss to the Black Knights, Levendoski touched the wall first in the 100 back with a time of 55.87 and in the 200 back at 2:01.03. The next day against the Raiders, she won the same two events with her times of 56.02 (100 back) and 2:03.89 (200 back).
Levendoski has won the league's weekly award in four of the six weeks in which she has competed this season. She has won all but one backstroke race this season.
The Bison will compete in their final home event of the season when they host Wagner at Kinney Natatorium on Sunday. The team's six seniors will be honored at the meet.
Following the home meet, Bucknell will go on the road to swim against Lehigh on Jan. 23, and will compete at the Navy Invite on Jan. 30. Those are the final events before the Patriot League Championships at Navy on Feb. 17-20.
