Women's Swimming and Diving Cruises to 192-104 Win at Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Bucknell women's swimming and diving team bounced back with a dominant win on the road over Patriot League foe Colgate on Sunday at Lineberry Natatorium. The Bison won 10 events while rolling to a 192-104 victory.
Emma Levendoski and Diana Hanson were three event winners for the Bison, who improved to 3-4 overall and 3-3 against Patriot League opponents. They improved to 16-10 all-time against Colgate, and avenged last season's loss that came down to the final event. With the loss, the Raiders dropped to 5-2 overall.
Levendoski and Hanson were joined on the first-place 200 medley relay team by Julianna Foss and Abigail Rosenberg. Levendoski would add individual wins in the 100 back and 200 back, while Hanson took first in the 100 breast and 200 breast. The 200 back was one of five events that the Bison took the top three spots, as Levendoski was followed by Rachel Perry in second and Caroline Orem in third.
The Bison took the top three spots in the 1-meter dive and the top four in the 3-meter dive. Lara Curtis won on the 1-meter board with a score of 229.05 and was followed by Tally Ford and Christine Kehrli. Ford won on the 3-meter board and was followed by Curtis, Kehrli and Maddie Weaver.
Bucknell also swept the top three places in the 50 free and in the 200 IM. Rosenberg took first in the 50 free with a time of 25.04, while Brittany Bishop and Rachel McGoff were second and third, respectively. In the 200 IM, Foss, touched the wall first in 2:11.35 and was followed by McGoff and Hanson.
Alanna Nawrocki was the winner in the 1000 free, taking the title with a time of 10:38.53. Her teammate, Leanna Archer, was the runner-up.
The Bison will compete in their final home event of the season when they host Wagner at Kinney Natatorium on Sunday, Jan. 17. The team's six seniors will be honored at the meet.
Following the home meet, Bucknell will go on the road to swim against Lehigh on Jan. 23, and will compete at the Navy Invite on Jan. 30. Those are the final events before the Patriot League Championships at Navy on Feb. 17-20.
