Women?s Soccer Travels To Lafayette On Wednesday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Coming off a 2-0 win over Holy Cross, the Bucknell women's soccer team returns to action for a league matchup at Lafayette on Wednesday night at Oaks Stadium. The game will be broadcasted on the Patriot League Network.
Twin sisters Kendall Ham and Jackie Ham scored in the team's victory over the Crusaders on Saturday afternoon. Jessica Ratner finished with three saves to help preserve the team's four-match unbeaten streak at home and improve the Bison to 5-5-1 overall and 1-1-0 in league play.
Lafayette enters Wednesday 5-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the Patriot League. The Leopards have lost two straight, dropping overtime games to conference front-runners Loyola (Md.) and Army West Point.
The Leopards have outscored their opponents 13-9 on the year. Kaelin King has tallied four goals and one assist for a team-best nine points. Melissa Lynskey has also recorded four goals, while Katie Brannigan has posted two goals and four assists.
Bucknell will take on Lafayette for the third straight season on a Wednesday night. The Bison are 18-6-1 all-time against the Leopards, and have won the last 11 meetings. The last five games have been decided by one goal, including a 2-1 overtime win in Lewisburg last season.
Alex Reisinger scored a first-half goal to give the Leopards the lead until an own goal knotted the contest 1-1. The Bison scored 1:25 into the overtime period for the win. Jessie Ainsworth made two stops in the contest.
Kendall Ham's six goals this season are tied for second-most in the Patriot League. Eight other Bison have registered a goal, while the defense has posted a league-best five shutouts.
Following Wednesday's game, the Bison return to Emmitt Field on Sunday for a contest against Colgate. Match time is set for 12 p.m.
