LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell senior Mike Lansing earned the Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week award on Monday, one day after he made eight saves in a 4-0 shutout of Seton Hall. It is Lansing's sixth career PL Goalkeeper of the Week award.
Bucknell scored early and often in the win over Seton Hall, finding the net four times in the first 30 minutes of the game. At the other end of the field, Lansing had plenty of work to do, as Seton Hall fired 20 total shots and sent numerous other services into the box. Lansing was up to the task each time, keeping a clean sheet for the 16th time in his career.
Lansing broke a tie with Kevin Meyer (1980-83) and moved into sole possession of sixth place on Bucknell's career shutouts list.
Lansing has now made two career starts against Seton Hall and has 19 saves with no goals against in a pair of Bison victories over the Pirates.
In three starts this season, Lansing has an .857 save percentage and a 0.92 goals-against average. His 6.0 saves per game lead the Patriot League and rank sixth nationally.
The Bison 3-2-1 on the season and will be back in action next Saturday at Xavier at 7 p.m.
