Zahn Receives Pair of Weekly Awards After Softball's 2-1 Weekend

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Kristen Zahn was nearly perfect in softball's three-game series at Holy Cross last weekend and has been named the Corvias Patriot League Player of the Week for her performance. She helped guide the Bison to a 2-1 record against the Crusaders and a guaranteed spot in the four-team conference tournament. Zahn was also selected as the 5th Quarter Fresh Bison Athlete of the Week.
Zahn went an amazing 9-for-10 in the three games against Holy Cross. She is 12 for her last 14 at the plate, raising her average to .385 on the season. She has driven in a Bucknell single-season record 50 runs and is tied for the single-season mark with 15 doubles.
The Bison are 30-18 overall and 9-6 in the Patriot League thanks in large part to a recent 11-game winning streak. They wrap up the regular season with a three-game home series with Boston University on Saturday and Sunday.
