
Women's Lacrosse Falls at Loyola, 15-7

BALTIMORE, Md. – Hannah Schmitt scored a game-high four goals and two other Greyhounds netted three goals apiece as No. 16 Loyola (Md.) defeated Bucknell by a 15-7 score Wednesday evening in women's lacrosse action at Ridley Athletic Complex. Maddy Molinari led the Bison with three goals.
Bucknell (2-7, 0-2 PL) outscored Loyola 5-4 in the second half, but the Greyhounds had built an 11-2 halftime advantage.
Molinari's first goal tied the score at 1-1 less than 90 seconds into the game. However, Loyola netted the next four goals in a row and 12 of the next 13 to build an 11-goal advantage.
Goalie Elizabeth Duswalt totaled 13 saves for Bucknell, which was outshot 37-22, including 28-11 in the first half when she made 10 stops.
The Bison committed 19 turnovers to 11 for Loyola (4-4, 2-0 PL), and they converted 13 of 18 clears, including 8 of 9 in the second half.
Sam Rickels, Gretchen Richter, Mary Margaret Kenney and Ally Furbay also scored goals for Bucknell, which will start a two-game homestand Saturday against Colgate. The contest will air live on Bison Vision on the Patriot League Network starting at 1 p.m.
