Softball's Erin Cox Named Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Erin Cox has been selected as the 5th Quarter Fresh Bison Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Bucknell softball team to a perfect 4-0 record at the Cleveland State Dome Tournament over the weekend.
Cox went 7-for-11 with a home run, two doubles and two walks in wins over Canisius, Bowling Green, Toledo and Robert Morris. She opened the tournament with a homer, double and three RBIs in the win over Canisius, added two hits in each of the next two games and wrapped up the weekend with a single in a 6-5 win over Robert Morris.
The Bison are 4-0 for the first time since 1988. They will look to keep the streak going when they travel to East Carolina for five games on Feb. 13-15.
