LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's soccer team went unbeaten in their two league matches last week, thanks in part to the offense of sophomore forward Kendall Ham. Ham recorded two goals and an assist en route to being named Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.
Ham started the week by picking up a goal and an assist in Bucknell's 2-2 tie at Lafayette last Wednesday. Trailing 1-0, Ham found Alexis Gannon for the equalizing goal. She then gave the Bison a 2-1 lead with an unassisted effort in the 51st minute. Ham followed up her performance with a goal in the squad's 2-1 victory over Colgate on Sunday. The win was the team's first victory over the Raiders since 2010.
Ham is Bucknell's leading scorer this season with 17 points on eight goals and one assist. Her eight goals are tied for most in the Patriot League, while ranking second in total points.
This is Ham's second time earning Patriot League offensive honors and is the third time a Bucknell women's soccer player has earned conference accolades this season.
The Bison stand at 6-5-2 overall and are in a three-way tie with Loyola (Md.) and Army West Point for second place in the league standings with a 2-1-1 record.
Bucknell returns to action on Oct. 10, when the team hosts Navy. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
