
Men's Water Polo Splits with Nationally Ranked Navy and George Washington

ANNAPOLIS, Md./WASHINGTON, D.C. – Grant Curry scored three goals and four other Bison had two as the Bucknell men's water polo team defeated No. 18 George Washington 14-8 in the nightcap of a road league doubleheader. The Bison dropped an 8-4 decision at No. 16 Navy earlier in the day.
Bucknell (4-4, 2-1 CWPA) used a big second half to defeat the Colonials as they turned a 6-6 halftime tie into the six-goal victory thanks to an 8-2 advantage in the second half.
Nick Hale, R.J. Moore, Ratimir Babic and Tommy Stupp registered two goals apiece for the Bison, who tallied a season-high 14 goals in the contest.
Keegan Williams played both games in goal for Bucknell and totaled 19 saves against just 16 goals allowed.
Hale led the Bison with two goals in the opener against Navy, which started just five hours prior to the George Washington contest.
Bucknell, which defeated Johns Hopkins last weekend to open league play, will wrap up its weekend Sunday at 11 a.m. contest at the Blue Jays.
