Bucknell Baseball Leads Way with 17 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll Selections

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell placed a league-best 17 players on the Patriot League Baseball Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Thursday. A total of 60 players were honored and nearly one-third of them were Bison.
Overall, Bucknell's baseball squad posted a 3.11 grade-point average during the spring semester that culminated in it winning the Patriot League Tournament title and earning an NCAA berth.
Among the Bison cited were Academic All-Patriot League selections Tom Hrabchak, Joe Ogren, Tucker Rekucki and Dan Weigel. Additionally, seniors Luke Lombardi and Justin Meier were two of the five baseball players across the league that became four-time honorees.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
Bucknell baseball has at least tied for the league lead in Academic Honor Roll selections every year since at least 2000.
