LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell swimming and diving teams hosted Colgate this past weekend and the Bison came away with three weekly awards from the Patriot League. Emma Levendoski (Mandeville, La./Mandeville) was named Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week, while Tara Boyle (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) claimed Female Diver of the Week honors. Jon Jones (Uniontown, Pa./Uniontown Area) earned the Male Diver of the Week award.
The weekly award was Levendoski's second this season and the sixth of her career. Both Boyle and Jones were Patriot League weekly award winners for the first time.
Levendoski was one of three double winners for the Bison women in a 150-148 loss along with Boyle and Julianna Foss. She swept the two backstroke events for the fifth time in six meets this season, winning the 100 back by 2.48 seconds and the 200 back by 2.65. Additionally, Levendoski swam on the second-place 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Boyle swept the two diving events for her first first-place finishes this year. Her three-meter score (252.23) was a season-best mark, while her one-meter tally (243.53) was her second-best this season. Boyle led a strong Bison diving contingent that took the first four places off the one-meter board and the first five off the three-meter.
Jones won the one-meter diving competition and placed second to teammate Tyler Wenzel off the three-meter board. His one-meter score of 265.95 was a career-best mark and helped him move from seventh to fifth place on Bucknell's all-time list. Jones helped the men to a 202-86 win over the visiting Raiders.
Both Bison squads will be idle until Jan. 10 when they host Army at Kinney Natatorium.
