LEWISBURG, Pa. --The Bucknell women's soccer team placed 18 of its 26 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Thursday. That total was the second-highest in the league, just behind Lafayette's 22 selections.
The Bison compiled an outstanding 3.31 team grade-point average in the fall 2013 semester. Nearly 70 percent of the team earned the requisite 3.20 GPA to land a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, and 11 women's soccer student-athletes made the Bucknell Dean's List with at least a 3.50 GPA.
Among Bucknell's Honor Roll members are juniors Hannah Bonotto and Evelyn Nicinski, who both made the 11-player Patriot League All-Academic Team in the fall. Bonotto also earned a place on the Capital One Academic All-District Team.
Back in November coach Ben Landis' squad earned an NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 17th straight year.
