About the Game
While many teams across the country have played three games during the 2013 campaign, Bucknell and Cornell have combined to play just one. The Bison were idle Aug. 31 and Sept. 14, while Ivy League teams only play 10-game schedules and traditionally start their seasons later. Bucknell is 1-0 this season after a season-opening 27-14 win over Marist. The Bison tallied 24 first-half points and had a balanced offense (177 yds. rushing, 176 yds. passing) as they won their season opener for the third straight year. Cornell enters Saturday's contest with new head coach David Archer at the helm. The Big Red were 4-6 overall last fall, including 2-5 against Ivy League opponents. Cornell is led by senior QB Jeff Mathews, who is already the school's all-time passing leader. He is on the Walter Payton Award Watch List for a second straight year and was a Preseason First Team FCS All-American.
