Bucknell Swimming and Diving Named Scholar All-America Team by CSCAA

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell swimming and diving program was recently honored for its high academic achievement by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Bison were named a CSCAA Scholar All-American Team as both the men's and women's squads posted grade-point averages above 3.0 in 2012-13.
The Bucknell women ranked 25th nationally in GPA with a 3.48, while the men posted a strong 3.09 GPA. A total of 101 women's teams were recognized. Seventy-two men's programs were cited with GPAs above 3.0.
The Bison women were one of only two Patriot League teams to be honored. Colgate was the other with a 3.28 GPA. American, Lafayette and Colgate joined the Bucknell men to give the Patriot League four representatives on that list.
The Bison had plenty of success in the pool as well in 2012-13. The women placed second at the Patriot League Championships on the strength of a record-tying seven individual gold medals, while the men finished in third place, marking their eighth consecutive top-three showing at the event.
