LEWISBURG, Pa. - Ten members of the Bucknell women's basketball team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday. There were 61 total women's basketball student-athletes honored and the 10 Bison honorees listed Bucknell in a tie for third, behind only Holy Cross and Lehigh, which had 11 selections apiece.
There were just five Patriot League women's basketball players to post a grade-point average of at least 4.0 and three of them came from Bucknell. Seniors Ashley Baxter, Lindsay Horbatuck and Rachel Voss each registered a 4.0 GPA this past spring semester.
Horbatuck and Voss, as well as fellow senior Alyssa Dunn, wrapped up their careers as four-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections. Baxter earned the honor in each of the three years she was eligible.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
