KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The Bucknell women's golf team concluded play at the Edwin Watts Kiawah Classic with a round of 335 on Tuesday. Jen Lee posted a team-best 81 for the Bison, who finished in 27th place.
Lee got out to a great start in her third and final round. Starting on the ninth hole, she was 1-under through seven, including a birdie at the par-15 12th. Lee struggled in the middle part of her round, but finished strong with three straight pars to make her Bucknell's low player for the second time in the tournament.
Lee (79-86-81) and Kasha Scott (82-80-84) both posted 246 over 54 holes to lead the team. Bridget Wilcox also shot 84 on Tuesday for a total of 247. Emily Timmons finished with an 86 and Meghan Garanich with a 94.
All five Bison made at least one birdie in the final round, and Timmons had two in a row on holes 5 and 6 at the Oak Point Course.
Campbell came from behind to win the team title by three shots over 18- and 36-hole leader College of Charleston. The Fighting Camels finished with a 299 for a 54-hole total of 899. Charleston was second at 902, followed by Troy (906), Richmond (914) and UNC Greensboro (917) in the tough 32-team field.
Julia Neumann of Charleston won the individual title with a 219 aggregate. That was one shot better than Central Arkansas' Julia Roth, who closed with a 1-under 71.
Next up, the Bison head out to Las Vegas for the Second Annual Bison Challenge at Paiute on March 14.
