Richter Ties for Second as Women's Golf Runner Up at Patriot League Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell women's golf team took second place at the 2026 Patriot League Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club as the Bison posted its best finish since 2014. Paige Richter, Nicole Yun and Sophia Bardunias placed in the top-five to earn All-Tournament honors.

Navy won the Patriot League title for the third straight season behind Emma Tang's second straight individual title. Tang was four-over for the tournament and was the only golfer to card a round under par with a 71 (-1) in the second round. Navy's Vivian Cressman tied for second with Richter and Hallie Brisco took sixth as the Bison and the Midshipmen had three golfers each earn Patriot League All-Tournament honors.

Bucknell's 907 for the tournament matched its best score at a conference championship in program history. Richter, a senior and three-time All-Patriot League golfer, tied for second place with a 223 (74-75-74) at +8 for the tournament. It was Richter's fourth consecutive top-seven finish at the Patriot League tournament. She made two birdies on the day as she was one-over on both the front and back nine.

Yun took fourth with Bucknell's low round at +1 to finish with a 224 (75-76-73). The junior finished one-under par on the back nine. Yun birdied just one hole, but parred 15 holes on the day. She was one-under over the final 13 holes after a two-over start.

Bardunias took fifth with a 226 (74-78-74) to finish at +11. Bardunias fired a 74 (+2) with four birdies in her final round. She was even on the front nine with two birdies. She was one-under for the round after 15 holes, but a triple bogey on the 16th put her at two-over par.

The Mids finished with an 896 as the Bison finished 11 strokes behind the champions. Bucknell's 907 was 30 strokes ahead of Lehigh (937) in third place.

Katherine Vice finished in 15th with a 238 (75-82-81). Joelle Johnson and Lila Smith tied for 18th with a pair of 240s.

Bucknell capped off a historic season in which the Bison won a school-record four tournaments. The Bison broke 36- and 54-hole records in the fall and accumulated 10 Patriot League Golfer of the Week awards in 2025-26.
