Bucknell Swimming and Diving Closes Dual Meet Portion of Schedule Saturday vs. Lehigh

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell swimming and diving teams will wrap up the dual meet portion of their schedules Saturday when they host Lehigh at 1 p.m. at Kinney Natatorium. Eleven Bison seniors will be honored prior to the meet during Senior Day festivities.
Lisa Bolle, Anna Griest, Morgan Oxley, Elizabeth Porcellio, Kelly Purcell and Marisa Taddeo are the six women's seniors who will be recognized, while Mike Davitt, Billy Krause, Matthew Stevens, Bryce Suchomel and Christian Treat will be honored on the men's side.
The Bucknell women are 4-5 this season, including 3-2 opposite Patriot League foes. With a win on Saturday, the Bison will finish with a dual meet record of at least .500 for a sixth consecutive season. Bucknell was last in action two weeks ago when it split home duals against Colgate (L, 161-139) and Army (W, 189-106) on back-to-back days.
The Bison women are 26-8 all-time against Lehigh, including a 189-111 victory last January in Bethlehem. Bucknell has won 12 in a row over the Mountain Hawks, capturing every dual since the 2000-01 campaign.
The Bucknell men bring a 5-4 record into the weekend, including 3-2 against Patriot League opponents. The Bison on Saturday will be trying to reach six wins in a season for the fifth time in the last six years. Like the women, the men were last in action two weeks ago and split with Colgate (W, 193-92) and Army (L, 165-135).
Bucknell has won four of the last five meets against Lehigh, including a 191-107 victory last January. The Bison lead the all-time series that dates to 1960 by a 33-18 margin.
The final meet of the regular season for Bucknell will take place Feb. 2 when it hosts the Bison Invite. Three weeks later Kinney Natatorium will serve as the host site for the Patriot League Championship for the sixth time.
