Bucknell Men's Tennis Records 4-3 Loss to George Mason

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's tennis (6-11) was defeated after a short turnaround from yesterday's match, losing 4-3 at the hands of George Mason (14-6). Bucknell's squad won the team doubles point for the second consecutive match during Saturday afternoon's contest.
Gregg Cohenca and Aidan Lynch earned their victory in the No. 1 singles match over Jordan Dyke and Chris Borden, 8-6. The two Bucknell players now have won back-to-back doubles matches and are 2-3 in No. 1 doubles matches during the spring.
In other doubles action Josh Katten and Evan Zimmer extended their winning streak together to five. The Bison duo beat out Scott Keaton and Joe Wiggins by the score of 8-5. With today's win Zimmer has now won 25 doubles matches during the 2011-12 season. His overall record for the year is 25-5.
The Bison headed into singles play with the momentum but were unable to capitalize on the doubles wins and seal the victory.
Junior Kelly Morque played the Patriots' Keaton and won in straight sets. Morque won the back-and-forth No. 4 contest, 6-3, 7-5.
The Bison's only other singles win came from Kyle Rosen who won his No. 5 singles match over Taylor Sargent, 6-4, 6-3. Rosen is now 16-12 in singles play during the 2011-12 season.
Bucknell will return to play next Thursday when it travels to face Patriot League foe Army at 3 p.m. at West Point, N.Y. Army is currently 12-9 overall and 3-0 in the Patriot League standings.
