Bucknell Women's Golf Finishes 7th at Big South Championship

NINETY-SIX, S.C. -- The Bucknell women's golf team closed out the Big South Championship with a team score of 320 on Wednesday, giving the Bison a seventh-place finish. Kasha Scott led Bucknell with a final-round 77, while Bridget Wilcox was the team's low player for the week, finishing tied for 13th at 234.
Top-seeded Campbell won the championship in its return to the Big South. The Camels closed with a 296 for an 890 total, good for a six shot win over defending champion Coastal Carolina. Gardner-Webb placed third at 921, followed by Charleston Southern (938), Winthrop (939), Radford (941), Bucknell (951), High Point (956), Presbyterian (961) and Holy Cross (1174).
Brittany Henderson of Coastal Carolina earned medalist honors after shooting a tournament-record 2-under-par 214. That total included a 4-under 68 in the second round. Kaylin Yost of Campell and Frida Castillo tied for second place at 221.
In addition to Scott's 77, Bucknell's other scores were a pair of 80s from Wilcox and Lauren Bernard, an 83 from Brittany Rendell and an 87 from Minjoo Lee.
