Bison Men's Tennis Upended by Georgetown, 6-1

WASHINGTON – The Bucknell men's tennis team (5-10) faced Georgetown (9-6) Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C. The Bison had a challenging day as they were defeated 6-1 by the Hoyas.
Evan Zimmer and Josh Katten continued their winning streak to three this afternoon in doubles matches and are now two-for-two this week. Zimmer and Katten faced off against Shane Korber and Alex Tropiano and beat them by the score of 8-6.
Katten managed to win his second match of the day by defeating Korber in the No. 3 singles match. Katten played a three-set bout against Korber and the two battled into tiebreakers in two sets with the match eventually going in favor of Katten, 3-6, 7-6 (11-9), 10-7.
Sophomore Kyle Rosen played a back-and-forth first set in the No. 5 singles bout losing 7-5. He had trouble recovering after the first-set loss and ended up losing the match 7-5, 6-2.
Bucknell has now lost three straight matches after winning the previous two, giving them a 2-3 record in the last five matches.
The Bison will return to action next Friday at 1 p.m. against Colgate at the Bison Tennis Courts.
