ABOUT THE GAME
Bucknell will try to keep a seven-game streak of home victories vs. Colgate alive on Wednesday when it hosts the Raiders in a 7 p.m. contest at Sojka Pavilion. The Bison also have a seven-point loss against the Raiders to avenge from earlier this season, promising some exciting play as Patriot League action heads down the final stretch.

• The Bison went 8-5 at home but 3-12 on the road during the 2010-11 season. All three road victories came during Patriot League play.
LAST MEETING WITH COLGATE - JAN. 11, 2012
• Colgate 73, Bucknell 66 (Cotterell Court)
• Lindsay Horbatuck posted her third double-double of the season and was one of the five Bison in double figures, but the offensive push from Bucknell was not enough to keep them from a 73-66 loss. Colgate ended the game on a 25-5 run to come from behind and claim its first Patriot League win of the season.
• Bucknell had its most success offensively when it didn't have to contend with the Colgate zone defense. Pushing the pace of play to keep the Raiders from setting up defensively resulted in a handful of buckets for the Bison. Offensive boards also played to Bucknell's favor as it often left open space in the paint for the Bison to get some second-chance points. Horbatuck turned one offensive rebound into a three-point play and tied the game at 29-29, the closest Bucknell had come to a lead to that point. At halftime Bucknell and Colgate were tied with seven offensive rebounds apiece, but the Bison had an 18-15 overall lead on the glass.
• Bucknell claimed its first lead of the night early in the second as Shelby Romine hit her third 3-pointer of the day. At 19:14, the Bison pulled in front 36-33. The advantage grew slowly but surely over the next few minutes as Romine was able to get good looks at jumpers and still find her teammates in the paint.
• After looking like they were firmly in control of the action, the Bison began to suffer both offensively and defensively. Colgate forced Bucknell into a pair of shot clock violations and turnovers began to wreak havoc at inopportune times down the stretch. With 4:10 remaining in the action, Colgate was up 60-59 after going on a 25-5 run. The Bison had committed eight turnovers in the second half and hit just four field goals in the final 8:30.
HISTORY VS. COLGATE
• Bucknell leads in the all-time series with Colgate, 36-20. The Bison are 20-4 when playing at home against the Raiders. The last time Bucknell lost to Colgate at Sojka Pavilion was Jan. 30, 2004 when the Raiders earned the 78-66 win. The Bison have won their last seven at home in the series by an average of 17.7 points.
• Colgate has swept Bucknell in the regular season just three times - 1991, 1995 and 2004. The most recent sweep included that 78-66 win on Jan. 30, a 75-66 victory on Feb. 29 and a 61-57 loss on March 7 in the Patriot League Tournament, which turned out to be the only time in league history that a No. 8 seed upset a No. 1 seed.
• Colgate has had its field goal percentage held to under .300 six times in their last 13 meetings with Bucknell. The lowest came on Feb. 21, 2009, when the Raiders shot .241 from the field and included a 9.1 percentage in the first half. The Bison ended up with a 53-35 win at the end of the night. Colgate shot just .279 from the field in the teams' meeting in January 2011.
• Bucknell has outrebounded Colgate in each of their last five contests. The largest positive rebounding margin for the Orange and Blue during that stretch is 21, coming 45-24 on Feb. 19, 2011. Bucknell had the 37-29 edge last month.
• When Bucknell won 76-66 in overtime in January 2011, it was just the second time in the 56-game series that a contest when to extra time. The Bison are 2-0 in overtime games vs. the Raiders, having also won 81-72 on Jan. 10, 1989. The Bison have played only one other opponent more often but with fewer overtime decisions. In 68 games, Bucknell and Lafayette have needed overtime just once.

ABOUT THE RAIDERS
After defeating Bucknell on Jan. 11, Colgate lost five of its next six games. The Raiders' lone high spot was a 74-69 win over Holy Cross in which Tricia Oakes scored 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to help her to a Patriot League Player of the Week nod. They also had a close call with Lehigh earlier in January but fell short 85-82 in double overtime in Bethlehem, Pa. Colgate's most recent outing handed a blow to its scoring margin as it ended in a 70-47 loss at American.
Jhazmine Lynch (14.3 ppg) and Oakes (14.0) both rank among the top 10 in Patriot League scoring. Oakes is also fifth in the conference in rebounding at 8.5 boards per game, although her average for the entire season comes in a notch lower at 6.3.
THAT GLASS IS SQUEAKY CLEAN
Bucknell tied a school record on Saturday vs. Army, holding its opponent to just 18 total rebounds. The mark equaled the 18 allowed to Holy Cross on March 6, 2002 when the Bison defeated the Crusaders for their first-ever Patriot League Championship. On Saturday, Bucknell limited Army to four offensive rebounds and 14 defensive boards.
MORE NOTES ON REBOUNDING
• Bucknell out-rebounded Army by a season-best 17 on Saturday, 35-18. It was the fourth time this winter the Bison had a positive double-figure rebounding margin. The list also includes Saint Peter's (+14), Morgan State (+15) and Niagara (+12).
• When it comes to Patriot League play, Lindsay Horbatuck has more defensive rebounds (42) than any other Bison has total rebounds. She also has more offensive rebounds than all but two other Bison. Rachel Voss has 41 boards in league play, while Felicia Mgbada has 29.
• Lindsay Horbatuck has led Bucknell in rebounding in each of the last five games and in six of the last seven. She has recorded the team's high in boards 15 times this season.
• Bucknell has a +0.3 rebounding margin for the season but a -1.0 rebounding margin in Patriot League play.
HIGHS AND LOWS 2.0
Bucknell put up some strong numbers against Army when the two teams met on Jan. 7. The Bison shot .519 from the field, made 27 field goals, dished out 15 assists and held the Black Knights to 48 field goal attempts. At the time, all of those numbers were the best of the season for the Bison. The success continued last Saturday when Bucknell shot .469 from the field and limited Army to 42 field goals attempted, which now stands as an opponent low mark for the year.
BENCH MARKS
Alyssa Dunn has been Bucknell's main bright spot when it comes to production off the bench. Although the guard had nine points in her lone start of the season at NJIT on Dec. 3, much of Dunn's success has come as the sixth man.
• In Patriot League games Dunn has 63 points, or 64.9 percent of the team's reserve scoring. The rest of the Bison backups have 34 points.
• Dunn has 20 of Bucknell's 24 points off the bench in the last three games. The junior tallied a season-best 14 points against Army on Saturday and two points against Navy on Jan. 28. No other Bison bench player scored in either contest.
• Twice during Patriot League play, Dunn has outscored Bucknell's opponent's bench. Both times, that opponent was Army, 14-13 on Saturday and 5-4 in January.
• Dunn and Micki Impellizeri combined for all 20 of Bucknell's bench points against Colgate when the two teams met on Jan. 11. Each Bison contributed 10 points to the cause, but the Raiders won the battle of the bench 41-20.
• Bucknell has been outscored 155-97 in bench points during Patriot League play and 446-318 overall for the season.
FIVE IN DOUBLES
Five Bison finished in double-figure scoring on Jan. 11 at Colgate - Shelby Romine (19 points), Lindsay Horbatuck (13), Felicia Mgbada (10), Alyssa Dunn (10) and Micki Impellizeri (10). The last time Bucknell put five players in double digits was Feb. 9, 2008 when it defeated Navy 65-50 at Sojka Pavilion.
It has also been quite some time since Bucknell finished with five double-digit scorers but suffered a loss. The Bison fell 67-63 in overtime to Holy Cross on Jan. 14, 2006 despite the point production from Lauren Schober (18), Lindsey Hollobaugh (12), Kesha Champion (11), Hope Foster (10) and Amanda Brown (10).
UP NEXT
Bucknell will make a pair of short road trips for its next two games. First up during that stretch is Lafayette on Saturday. The teams will tip off in Easton, Pa., at 3 p.m. The Bison and Lehigh will then go head-to-head at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in Bethlehem.
