Bucknell Women's Swimming and Diving Finishes Seventh at ECAC Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Lauren Perry's fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle was the Bucknell women's swimming and diving team's top finish on the final day of the ECAC Championships Sunday at Navy's Lejeune Hall. A total of four Bison scored on the day as Bucknell finished the three-day meet in seventh place in the team standings.
Perry, who finished fifth in the 50 free and 10th in the 200 free earlier this weekend, jumped up to fourth in the 100 free after placing eighth in the prelim. Her time of 51.93 seconds was .07 seconds better than her previous fastest. She remained ninth on the program's all-time list, but drew to within .06 seconds of eighth-place Alexandra Lovallo. Perry trimmed .86 seconds off her prelim time.
Kaitlyn Sweeney's sixth-place showing in the 200 fly was Bucknell's only other top-10 finish Sunday. She timed in at 2:06.96, just .12 shy of her career best.
Elizabeth Porcellio, who placed 11th in the 100 free behind Perry, and Gina Gautieri, who was 13th in the 200 breast, rounded out the list of Bison scorers Sunday.
