Bucknell vs. Hoosier Duals Opponents

Unattached Tournaments
Bucknell wrestlers have combined for a 77-77 individual record already this year. A number of Bison have wrestled unattached in a handful of November tournaments. Bucknell grapplers have competed at the Clarion Open, Michigan State Open and Mat Town Open, in addition to the scheduled Navy Classic.

Team Captains
Bucknell has five team captains this year: senior Jack Ingram, senior Corey Lear, sophomore Tyler Lyster, sophomore Austin Miller and senior Derrik Russell.
Lear Nears Record Book
Senior 165-pound captain Corey Lear is a team-best 11-3 this season and is now 73-38 in his four-year career. He is just 14 wins shy of tying former teammate Brantley Hooks for 10th place on the program's wins list. Hooks was 87-67 during his time as a Bison. Lear has posted double figures in victories in four consecutive years.
Wirnsberger Second on Wins List
Eighth-year Bucknell head coach Dan Wirnsberger owns a 55-62-2 record during his time as the frontman for the Bison. He is second on the program's all-time wins list, trailing only longtime coach Bob Ferraro, who accumulated 169 wins from 1974 to 1997.
Seventh Season Since Reinstatement
Bucknell is in the midst of its seventh season of competition since the program was reinstated prior to the 2006-07 campaign after four years of not fielding a team.
Up Next
Bucknell will be idle for two weeks for final exams before embarking upon its two most exciting days of the regular season. The Bison will be part of the Grapple at the Garden on Dec. 16 when it faces 23-time national champion Iowa at 12:30 p.m. The 14-team event marks the first time college wrestling will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The very next night (Dec. 17), Bucknell will host 34-time national champion Oklahoma State in Sojka Pavilion. Tickets for that match can be purchased by calling the Bucknell Campus Box Office at 570-577-1000 or visiting www.bucknell.edu/boxoffice.
