LEWISBURG, Pa. - A day after falling to American in the Patriot League Tournament, Bucknell field hockey picked up a pair of All-Tournament Team honors as Kelsey Mucelli (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown Area) and Rachel Misko (Morristown, N.J./Madison) were both named to the postseason squad. It was the second consecutive Patriot League All-Tournament Team citation for Misko.
No. 3 Bucknell was shut out 4-0 by No. 2 American in yesterday's semifinal game. The Bison enjoyed one of their best seasons in recent years, however, finishing the campaign with a 9-10 record and advancing to the postseason for the fifth consecutive year.
Mucelli's season also included a unanimous selection to the All-Patriot League First Team and spot on the Bucknell all-time top-10 list for single-season assists (9). Misko was a Second Team All-League honoree earlier this week, giving her three such honors for her career. The junior finished second on the team in points (17) in 2012.
Misko was also named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team last year after she helped the Bison to an upset over No. 1 American in the semifinals before losing to Lafayette in the title match.
The All-Tournament Team was announced following the Patriot League Championship on Saturday in which top-seeded Lafayette defeated American 2-1. The Leopards' Deanna DiCroce was named the tournament MVP. Lafayette now advances to an NCAA Play-In game against the Ivy League champion.
