Bucknell's Lansing Earns Another PL Goalkeeper of the Week Honor

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell freshman Mike Lansing (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) earned Brine Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the third time this season on Monday after a strong performance in Bucknell's 1-1 draw with Navy over the weekend. Lansing, who has also garnered a Rookie of the Week citation this fall, continues to lead the Patriot League in every goalkeeping statistical category.
In Saturday's draw with league frontrunner Navy, Lansing finished with nine saves, seven of which came during overtime. He had a two-save flurry late in the first overtime period, and then denied Navy three more times in the second OT session.
Lansing leads the Patriot League in goals-against average (0.74), save percentage (.873), total saves (55), saves per game (5.5) and shutouts (3).
Lansing's three Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week Awards tie a single-season record. Six keepers have previously done it three times in one season, including Bucknell's Joey Kuterbach in 2007.
Bucknell is 5-3-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the Patriot League this season. The Bison host Hartwick on Wednesday in a non-league game, then they travel to Holy Cross on Saturday at 2 p.m.
