Bucknell Men's Tennis Earns League-Leading Six Patriot League Academic Honor Roll Selections

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's tennis team placed six student-athletes named on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, tying for the league lead in selections, it was announced Tuesday. The Bison were led by freshman management major Scott Bernstein (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and Academic All-Patriot League Team members Anton Kovic (Montreal, Quebec/Milton Academy (Mass.)) and Evan Zimmer (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex).
A total of 35 men's tennis student-athletes across the Patriot League were named to the Academic Honor Roll. Sharing the league lead in selection with Bucknell was Holy Cross, Lafayette and Lehigh. Navy added five honorees, while Army and Colgate each had three.
Kovic and Zimmer were recognized earlier this spring as Bucknell's selections to the inaugural Academic All-Patriot League Team. Kovic posted a 3.66 grade-point average during the spring semester, while Zimmer finished with a 3.41. Bernstein's 3.83 GPA was the highest on the team.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
