LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Earlier this spring the Bucknell men's soccer team hosted more than 150 area youth soccer players aged 4-14 for a free clinic at the West Fields. Coaches and student-athletes from the Bison squad particpated with the youngesters, and a good time was had by all.
Members of the Bucknell women's soccer team also assisted in the organization of the clinic but were unable to participate due to the rescheduling of a spring game.
Both Bison programs have taken a great interest in youth soccer in the Susquehanna Valley. The teams regularly host club and AYSO teams at games throughout the season in addition to periodic free clinics.
Both programs will also be hosting an assortment of summer camps in the coming weeks. The men will have an AYSO day camp July 25-29 at the Riverwoods Complex in Lewisburg in addition to high school and elite sessions earlier in the month. The women's program will host a camp for high school-aged girls June 26-28 on campus.
