LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell head women's lacrosse coach Caline McHenry has announced her resignation in order to pursue other professional opportunities. A national search for her replacement will begin immediately.
"I would like to thank Coach McHenry for her years of service to Bucknell Athletics and our student-athletes. We certainly wish Caline the best of luck in all her future endeavors" said director of athletics and recreation John Hardt.
McHenry, a former All-America defender at Duke, recently completed her fourth season as head coach of the Bison. Bucknell went 20-45 during those four seasons, including a 9-9 record in 2009.
Next season Bucknell will return nine starters, including its top three scorers, from a 2011 squad that finished 3-13 with a lineup consisting primarily of freshmen.
