LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Mike Lookingland, a 2005 Bucknell graduate and a two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the Major Indoor Soccer League's All-MISL Team this week. A second team honoree, Lookingland finished his fifth season with the Baltimore Blast and ranked third in the MISL in blocked shots with 35.
Lookingland logged four goals and seven assists in 19 games this season for the Blast, who captured the 2010-11 MISL regular season championship and will now host the league championship game on Friday against the Milwaukee Wave. He was named the league's Defensive Player of the Month in December.
In addition to his terrific indoor career, Lookingland has played outdoors in the USL for Crystal Palace and the Harrisburg City Islanders. He was picked by Real Salt Lake in the second round of the 2005 Major League Soccer supplemental draft and spent one season with the team. He is the only Bucknell graduate to play in the MLS.
At Bucknell, he started every game in his four-year career and was the 2003 and 2004 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. Lookingland was a College Soccer News Third Team All-America and NSCAA First Team All-Region selection.
