LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's and women's lacrosse teams are both coming off one-goal, mid-week victories, and not both Bison squads head to the Lehigh Valley on Saturday for key Patriot League matchups. The men visit Lafayette at 1 p.m., followed by the women at Lehigh at 3 p.m.
Both games will air live on the Internet. Lehighsports.com will have video coverage of the women's game, while goleopards.com will air the men's game. Subscription rates apply for both Webcasts.
The Bucknell women's team ended a five-game losing streak with a 12-11 overtime win over Mount. St. Mary's on Wednesday at Graham Field. Senior Julia Braun, returning from a three-game injury absence, had six goals in that win, while freshman Ali Carey potted four.
Even though she has played in only five of the eight games so far, Braun leads the squad in goals (16) and points (19). Carey (14-2-16) and Katelyn Miller (12-4-16) are tied for second in the points column, while Madison Hurwitz (12-2-14) also has a dozen goals. Molly Ford (3-7-10) leads the team in assists, while Miller tops the squad in ground balls (23).
Senior goalie Alyssa DeLorenz entered the week leading the nation in total saves. She now has 96 in eight games.
Lehigh comes in with a 3-4 overall record, 0-1 in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks dropped their league opener to Colgate last week, 19-16, and then on Wednesday let a big lead get away in a 13-12 loss to Fairfield. Lauren Dykstra (28-6-34) leads the team in points and goals, followed by Allison Thomas (15-6-21).

The Bison men, ranked 19th in the Inside Lacrosse media poll this week, are now 5-1 after Wednesday's nail-biting 7-6 win over Hartford. Billy Eisenreich assisted on the tying goal and scored the game-winning goal 41 seconds apart in the fourth quarter against Hartford, and the junior middie has been one of the team's hottest offensive players of late. Eisenreich, who had a career-high seven-point game in Bucknell's league-opening win over Navy, is second on the team in scoring with 16 points on nine goals and seven assists.
Ryan Klipstein (13-5-18) paces the squad in both goals and points, and he is one of six Bison with at least 10 points already. The Bison have outscored foes 63-44 on the season, and goalie Kyle Feeney has a solid 7.49 goals-against average.
These two teams played a wild one last season, with then-11th-ranked Lafayette holding off the Bison 16-15, despite a school-record-tying eight goals from Klipstein. The Leopards ended a 16-game losing streak to Bucknell, winning for the first time since 1993.
This season Lafayette is 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the Patriot League. The Leopards have one-sided wins over Binghamton and Wagner and a close 7-6 loss to No. 14 Penn. Last Saturday, Lafayette fell to Navy, 15-6.
Tom Perini is Lafayette's top goal-scorer with 13, followed by Ryan Hansen and Colin Serling with six apiece. Cesar Munoz has taken all but seven of the Leopards' faceoffs and is 52-for-100 on the season.
