Lacrosse Doubleheader at Bucknell on Wednesday

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bison fans will have the opportunity to take in a rare mid-week lacrosse doubleheader at Bucknell on Wednesday. The Bison men's lacrosse team will host Hartford at 12 p.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Just a few hours later, at 4 p.m., the women will take on Mount St. Mary's across Route 15 at Graham Field.
The Bucknell men are 4-1 this year and have won their last two games, including a double-overtime thriller over Patriot League rival Navy last Monday night at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The Bison are 3-0 at home this year and have won five in a row overall on their home field.
Hartford is 3-2 this season and has won its last two games by a combined 22-15 score over Brown and Bellarmine. The Hawks defeated Patriot League opponent Holy Cross by a 12-7 margin late last month. Ryan Compitello is their leading scorer with seven goals and seven assists for a team-high 14 points.
The Bucknell women will wrap up a three-game homestand Wednesday. The Bison are 1-6 this season and are coming off a loss to Navy in their Patriot League opener this past Saturday. Five Bucknell players have reached double figures in points this season and three of them are freshmen, including leading scorer Katelyn Miller, who has netted 11 goals and dished out four assists for 15 points.
Mount St. Mary's will be concluding a three-game road trip on Wednesday as it goes for its second win of the year. The Mount is 1-4 this season, but it coming off a 12-11 win at Longwood last Tuesday.
