Bucknell Diver David Magaro Wraps Up Competition at NCAA Zone Diving Meet

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Bucknell diver David Magaro (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro Area) competed at this past weekend's NCAA Zone "A" Diving Meet, hosted by Navy. The sophomore finished 45th off the one-meter board and 35th in three-meter competition.
The only Bison diver in action at the NCAA qualifying meet, Magaro scored a 190.50 off the one-meter board, while his score off the three-meter was 229.35.
Virginia Tech divers won both boards as Ryan Hawkins claimed the one-meter title with a 327.90 mark and Logan Shinholser earned the three-meter crown with a 411.25, nearly 40 points ahead of runner-up Hawkins.
The NCAA Zone Diving Meet capped a solid season for Magaro, who holds the school record off the three-meter board (343.55). He stands second in school history in one-meter competition (295.65). This past month at the Patriot League Championships, which were held at Kinney Natatorium, Magaro finished fourth off the three-meter board with his program-record 343.55. He also placed eighth in one-meter competition (272.90), helping the Bison to a third-place finish in the team standings.
