PRIMM, Nev. -- The Bucknell women's golf team counted five scores in the 70s in round two, finishing the day with a strong 305 after opening with a 312 in the morning round. Katie Jurenovich backed up a first-round 77 with a 75 round two, leading the Bison to a tie for sixth place in a field of 14.
In the first round, Jurenovich birdied the 15th and 17th holes and was even par on the back nine until a double bogey at No. 18. She made two more birdies in the afternoon and had nothing worse than bogey as she moved up to a tie for 15th place.
Also for Bucknell, Bridget Wilcox and Kasha Scott both shot 78 in the first round, and then Wilcox and Lauren Bernard both posted 76s later in the day.
Minjoo Lee shot 79-78, while Scott also had 78 in the afternoon.
Oral Roberts (585) had the best team score of the day, a second-round 290 that propelled it to a three-shot lead over first-round leader Missouri State. Oakland is third with 611, followed by Iowa (612) and UMKC (616), and then Bucknell and South Dakota State are not far behind at 617.
Kelsy Welber of Missouri State is 4-under par for the tournament (70-68) and has a seven-shot lead over Amy Anderson of North Dakota State and Tiffany Robbins of Oral Roberts.
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
